Kayak To China Mans Hat

Kayaking to Chinamans Hat has been on my Oahu Bucketlist sense I did my Island Tour! In Hawaii, it's basically impossible to enjoy road trips like you would on the Mainland, so we get pretty creative making our own ha! Paddle Boarding and Kayaking to Oahu's neighbor islands provide the best way to get that 'instate road trip' feel on island!

Jack Ass Ginger Falls

Everyone loves a good secret, but sometimes things are just to good not to share! Jack Ass Ginger Falls is a small swimming hole and waterfall located right in the Honolulu/Manoa area. To my surprise, it is actually basically in someones backyard! But it is a completely public trail and waterfall!

Shark Cage Diving

Living in Hawaii, I have the wonderful opportunity to explore so many great beaches, but more importantly so many great fish! Snorkeling in Hawaii's warm waters has easily been my favorite thing about living on island. Along with this, its important I aquatint myself with those dangerous fish: sharks.

Kahala

Kahala Beach Park is my absolute go to beach here on Oahu. I mean for EVERYTHING. To snorkel, to float, to talk, to take pictures, to read, to tan, to think, and to BE. It is so amazing. It is just beautiful clear water that is up to your knees for miles.

Makapuu Tidepools

The State of Hawaii recently worked on the re-pavement and safety of this hike making it and extremely popular hike, including its on Snapchat geo-filter! Here you can read more about the project. But because of this it has drew WAY more crowds than I thought possible. About 3/4 up the trail you will see these tidepools. There actually is a semi-marked path all the way down and is relatively easy!

On my Birthday I was lucky enough to see this beautiful sight! Rashawn had a club activity hiking to Lulumahu Falls and I could not resit tagging along. Below is a short video of the trail, it's s o  c o o l! I highly recommend this hike because it's easy, stunning, and who doesn't love a waterfall!?

Skydiving

I think its safe to say that Skydiving is my new favorite sport ;) I went last year with my best friend on the North Shore of Oahu. We jumped with Pacific Skydiving and had the most amazing experience you could ask for! A beautiful day, hilarious instructions, oh ya and WHALES! We went during whale season and falling through the sky I saw 3 HUGE humpback whales. Too cool.

Swimming in the Sea

Growing up in Colorado, I was always dreaming of the water. I was landlocked there, and the only source of water near me were a few lakes and a man made reservoir. I loved seeing pictures and watching documentaries about sea life and I just dreamed of getting to see and experience those things one day. I honestly think thats what sent me to Hawaii, despite all the craziness that comes from living here, I would never trade it for the world because of the ocean.

Pali Notches

I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD!

Or at least that is what it felt like hiking the Pali Notches located on the East Side of Oahu. This insane trailhead and can be accessed right by the Pali Lookout! The views on this hike are spectacular, but let me warn you this hike is not for your average joe-shmow!!

The views from atop Diamond head are so BLUE! The amazing views of Waikiki from way up here are some of the best. It totally puts everything into perspective and if you are staying in a near by hotel, you just might be able to spot your room :P

Waimanalo

The bluest of blues water and the whitest of white sand is what you get on the voted number on beach on Oahu. Waimanlo is on the east side heading North towards Lankiai beach. The water is so blue and relaxing you can float out there for hours! Many people bring floaties and fins and play all day.

Il Gelato Hawaii

It is safe to say that the North Shore of Oahu is a treat in it's self but stopping for a real treat at Il Gelato Hawaii will complete your experience. The new face in Haleiwa is this sleek and entertaining store front. The staff at Il Gelato Hawaii are some of the best I have seen on Oahu so far. They were so helpful, nice, and thoughtful! You can tell they set the standards when it come to making the customer happy. Not to mention they serve you with the most outstanding products on top of the exceptional service.

Three Tables

She says she loves the North Shore...but can you blame her? Stopping at any beach on the North Shore is a good idea, but especially in the summertime. When I first saw Pupukea, or more popularly known as Three Tables, it was in the Winter and it was covered with big waves and foam. Every now and then I would see people snorkeling out their and I would always be so scared for them that I big wave was just gonna sweep them away.

Island Tour: Oahu

Welcome to the Island of Oahu, Hawaii! Home to over ONE MILLION people. Our little island is only 40 miles wide (thats the distance of home to Boulder for all my friends) and only 112 miles around. So really you can get around the island pretty easily and in basically no time...oh wait remember the part of ONE MILLION people? We're a bit over populated here on Oahu so our traffic happens to be the second worst behind LA, California! So this little island trip will take a good 5 hours to a potential day depending on the number and duration of your stops. I recommend starting as early as possible and finishing as late as possible! This way you can spend good time at each location and really enjoy everything there is to offer, because although small we have so much to give here!

Sandy Tidepools

Sandy's beach is one of our go to beaches here because you can easily see people you know or play in the shore break. But one of my favorite secretive places is the little Tidepool here. If you walk on the right side of the beach towards the bowl hole you will come across tons of beautiful fun little spots in the rocks.

Parasailing

Oh the feeling of floating in the sky above the ocean...and this view sure helps too! I love Parasailing and have done it twice now. The first was in Maiami, Flordia and the second here in Honolulu, Hawaii. If I get the chance I will Parasail over every ocean city. The view and experience is so blissful! Except the part when the captains think its funny to dunk you in for shark bait!

Los Angels Lakers vs. Utah Jazz

Living in Hawaii, the opportunity to see any professional sports team is always slim so when I heard that the Lakers were retuning to Hawaii you can imagine the excitement! The Lakers used to come to Hawaii every year since 1998 for their one week long training camp and few preseason opener games. However due to the large cost the team has not come since 2007. It's such a treat they decided to come back this year!

Koko Head

Can you think of anything more fun than hiking 1,048 steps straight up a mountain?! Good because I couldn't either! Koko head is on the East side of Oahu and is a famous sightseeing stop. Those who are brave, and like a challenge, will actually dare to do it. When my two best friends came for Spring Break I couldn't think of a better way to spread some Aloha than to do this hike with them (insert crying laughing face emoji).
