Life as a beach bum

I think it's safe to say the ocean is the one thing that brought me to Hawaii. My soul just ached to be by the water. I knew that I had to see every beach I possibly could while I was here. At one point I even remember having a dream walking the entire island so I could touch every beach HA :) unfortunately thats not possible, or I would totally do it.

hikes to do

Hiking Oahu + SaltWaterVibes

these feet were made for walkin

I did not always have a love for hiking, but Hawaii's beautiful oceans and stunning mountains changed me for the better. My list of hikes to do rapidly grew after I accomplished Stairway to Heaven. From waterfalls, to jungles, forests, and even narrow mountain tops, my nikes and locals will touch it all.

adventure is out there

Oahu is the perfect opportunity for me to check some serious items off my bucketlist. Plus the chance to get multiple small adventures seems endless. The outdoors really aren't bad when you're surrounded by tropical valleys and crystal blue water at every turn so I quickly became accustomed to the al fresco life.

Byodo Temple, Camp North Shore, Camp West Side, Island Tour, Kayak to China Man's Hat, Flat Island, Kayak M Bay, Parasail, Pearl Harbor, Pumpkin Patch, See Dolphins, Secret Sticks, Shark Cage Diving, Skydiving, Stand Up Paddle, Surfing

adventure fuel

It's no secret the best part of going to somewhere new is trying the food. After living here for years, I was able to eat my way through the state. From my local friends, word of mouth, and even pure experimentation I am hitting all the best places to eat on the island one plate lunch at a time.

Bostons Pizza, Frost City, Fresh Catch, Foodland, Fort Ruger, Fummis Shrimp, Il Gelato Hawaii, Matamotos Shave Ice, Rainbow Drive In, Super Pho, Wingstop, Lanikai Juice, Teddy's Burgers
