Bamboo Forest Hike

Chasing waterfalls may have become one of my favorite activities sense living in Hawaii. After planning a fun short trip back to Maui I knew I wanted to find some new things to do. I read about a cool waterfall in the Bamboo Forest that was mostly only viable after rainfall. It has just rained the day before so I was stoked to go try!

Crouching Lion

Crouching Lion has been on my bucket list for a few years now. After seeing snaps of this blue water and view I begged almost every weekend to go! After reaching the top it's safe to say this has become my favorite view. I made sure to wear my old Nikes becuase this hike can get muddy!

Kayak To China Mans Hat

Kayaking to Chinamans Hat has been on my Oahu Bucketlist sense I did my Island Tour! In Hawaii, it's basically impossible to enjoy road trips like you would on the Mainland, so we get pretty creative making our own ha! Paddle Boarding and Kayaking to Oahu's neighbor islands provide the best way to get that 'instate road trip' feel on island!

Olivine TidePools

Ever sense visiting the Makapu'u Tidepools on Oahu...I have become obsessed with tidepools! Mostly because it is like living in a dream; the vast ocean before you, a perfect natural swimming pool, and the amazing fish they hold. It's almost like a secret goal of mine to go to tidepools on all of the islands like Queens Bath on Kauai, these here on Maui, and i'll let you know the rest when I get there! :) These tidepools are located on the Kahekili Highway on the West/North side of Maui. Just about a 10 min drive down the road from the Nakalee Lookout!

Na Pali Coast

The Na Pali Coast has to be one of the most enchanting and magical places in the US. Twenty-two miles of unforgettable views and magic with every step. The Na Pali Coast has no road ways for those 22 miles and the only way to access this beautiful coast is by foot on the Kalalau Trail or boat.

Chances are if you have heard or read anything about the island of Kauai before, you have probably heard of two things: the Na Pali Coast and Queens Bath. And no matter what pre-conceived notions you have about either of them, go and see and experience them! They are just as magical as Instagram makes them out to be. Queens Bath is a giant Tidepool located on Kauai's North Shore in Princeville.

Waipoo Falls

Hopefully you are familiar with the Waimea Canyon now from my previous post if not catch up here! Inside this massive and amazing canyon is an 80 foot free falling waterfall called Waipoo Falls. Before getting to Kauai I did tons of research on what to do and I stumbled upon a website talking about hiking to the top of this waterfall. It actually sounded like a dream to me. But I wrote it down on my itinerary and did some more research to be sure. I tried to get as much info as possible to avoid surprises, but it still turned into a pretty spontaneous and adventurous time!

Sea Glass Beach

Sea Glass Beach is located on the South Shore of Kauai about 10 minutes from Salt Pond Beach. It is such a unique beach because the sand is mostly made up of Sea Glass! Sea Glass is made from broken bottles, windshields, flasks or anything glass really. The movement of the ocean smooths it out over time and add this frost like finish to it! It is truly amazing.

Olympics

2012 was a very monumental year in my life. I began to feel what worldly travel is really like after going to Nicaragua for my first Mission trip and then to London for the 2012 Olympics. My mom and I went to cheer on one of the most beautiful and genuine people I have ever known, Missy Franklin. I grew up with the blessing of having Missy as one of my closet friends. I truly believe my middle school years could not have been possible with our daily laughs in 7th period, our countless Facebook 'button' exchanges and our quote books from StumbleUpon. Her spirit was infections and how blessed I was by her friendship!

Makapuu Tidepools

The State of Hawaii recently worked on the re-pavement and safety of this hike making it and extremely popular hike, including its on Snapchat geo-filter! Here you can read more about the project. But because of this it has drew WAY more crowds than I thought possible. About 3/4 up the trail you will see these tidepools. There actually is a semi-marked path all the way down and is relatively easy!
